Attendance supports the team and keeps operations flowing.

If you are unwell and not attending work, let your direct manager know before 9am.

For longer absences, written arrangements may be agreed so daily check-ins are not needed.

We encourage early and proactive communication around attendance issues.

Sickness, Absence & Bradford Factor

Drop Dead uses a self-managed approach to sickness. Employees decide if they are fit to work and should stay home if they are unwell.

To keep things fair and consistent, we use the Bradford Factor to highlight patterns of repeated short absences which can be more disruptive than a single longer absence.

Triggers are as follows:

If sickness runs beyond 7 days, a sick note may be required. For a single continuous absence longer than 7 days, the Bradford score caps at 7 days once a fit note is provided.

We encourage open discussion if patterns develop so issues can be understood and resolved early.
