Holiday entitlement is set out in individual contracts and accrues during probation. Time off is important, and we encourage people to plan holidays in advance so they can make the most of them.

Holiday requests should be made at least seven days in advance and will be approved based on staffing and business needs. We aim to be fair and reasonable with requests, especially when holidays are booked early or communicated clearly.

All holiday entitlement should be used within the holiday year. We do not carry unused days into the next year, so please plan your holidays to make sure they are taken in time. If you are unsure how much leave you have remaining, just ask a manager so nothing gets missed near the end of the year.

Unpaid leave may be requested and can be approved at management discretion. Other forms of leave, such as bereavement or emergencies, are handled case by case. If something unexpected happens, please speak with a manager as early as possible so we can support you and make adjustments where needed
