We encourage personal and professional development. Everyone brings different strengths and skill sets to the business, and we value people who want to grow, learn and expand what they can do.

Training may happen on the job through shadowing, collaboration or learning by doing. External training may also be offered if it makes sense for the role, the individual and the business. If training is approved, we will support it properly so the person has what they need to get the most out of it.

Development conversations don’t have to wait until annual reviews. Staff can request training, ask for support or raise development goals at any time with their manager. We would rather know what people want to learn than guess, and we appreciate honesty when someone feels they could do more with a bit of help or clarity.

Not all development is formal. Sometimes progression looks like gaining confidence in a task, taking ownership of a project or learning from others in the room. If you want to push your skills further, talk to your manager and we will explore options together.

Workplace & Warehouse Safety

Safety exists to protect everyone. We work across mixed spaces that include warehouse, office, retail and creative environments, so awareness matters. Looking out for yourself and the people around you helps keep things running smoothly, especially during busy periods or heavy drops where activity is higher.

Manual handling, equipment use and general warehouse activity should be carried out with care. If something feels unsafe, too heavy or awkward, ask for help rather than risking injury. There is no expectation to “power through” or improvise with tasks that could cause harm.

If the fire alarm sounds, exit the building using the nearest evacuation point and meet outside by the tile store next door. Do not leave the area until management has confirmed everyone is accounted for. This helps emergency services and ensures we don’t miss anyone in the process.

Hazards, accidents or near misses should be reported to a manager so they can be addressed before causing harm. Fixing small issues early often prevents bigger issues from happening later. There is always a trained first aider in the building, generally a member of management or the warehouse team.
