Full time hours are 37.5 per week. We use flexi time so people can manage their work around projects and priorities, as long as the work gets done and the team stays aligned. It gives everyone space to balance creative, operational and personal needs without being tied to a strict schedule.

We ask that everyone starts their day no later than 10am and leaves the building by 7pm unless authorised. These boundaries help keep communication flowing within the team and support safe building access for the warehouse and wider operations.

Flexi time can be built up by working a little longer during busier periods, such as around drops, campaigns or logistics spikes. There is no expectation for staff to work overtime. It is entirely voluntary and at the discretion of the employee, even during busy periods. Paid overtime must always be agreed in advance.

Flexi time carries over month to month, but it cannot be carried further than one month forward. This keeps things fair and prevents people building up large balances that become difficult to use or manage. If you are unsure how to manage your time or when to use it, just speak with your manager.

If you plan to arrive later than usual or leave earlier, please make sure the team is aware so there is sufficient cover for the tasks and customers that need attention that day. Flexi time works best when communication is clear and no one is left short-handed.

Working from home is not part of everyday working at Drop Dead and is only accepted if a manager has given written approval. If you feel you need to request this, please speak with your manager so they can assess what works for the team and the business.

Breaks

Everyone should take a minimum unpaid 30 minute break each full working day. Breaks are important for resting, eating and resetting during the day.

Coffee and tea breaks are part of our working culture and don’t need to be clocked out. If a break runs beyond 30 minutes, please clock out so time stays fair and consistent across the team. If you need to step out for something outside of a normal break, such as a medical appointment, just let your manager know so it can be planned for.
